The product to be explored and redesigned in this mini project is the face mask. There is a worldwide shortage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in hospitals. The face mask provides a barrier between the wearer and the local environment and is especially important for protecting medical staff. The main goal of this design is to create a facemask that provides the necessary protection while being able to be made at home using common household products, or easily accessible ones. This product is expected to be simple enough such that a busy medical professional would be inclined to make one for themselves.
